A BIG SLICE OF INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS
Since its launch last year, the AEW Delford Polyslicer 1000 from Marel UK has proved a resounding success, winning many customers throughout the world.
Processors and packers from as far afield as Russia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East are benefiting from its extraordinary high speed slicing performance and future-proofing capabilities – as a stand alone machine or part of an integrated Marel production line.
Offering much more than many other slicers in its class, the Polyslicer 1000 is ideal for small to medium production runs, combining a host of advanced features and options to deliver high output, product variety and versatility at an affordable price.
With quick loading, simple to adjust slicing head, involute blade for high speed slicing and an aperture that can handle three logs of product simultaneously, the Polyslicer 1000 produces well defined stacks, shingles or shaved products at speeds of up to 1500 rev/minute.
The machine can slice a very wide range of cooked meats, bacon and natural products – with the option of an orbital blade for accurate slicing of delicate or fragile foods such as cheese, or larger diameter products. There are 100 programmes for fast product changeover, a choice of pack presentation formats, and a pulsed product feed for extra thick slices. A slice denial feature prevents sliver slices and product wastage.
As with all AEW Delford slicers, the Polyslicer 1000 has been designed for easy hygiene and built with robust stainless steel construction for low maintenance and a high level of reliability. For maximum versatility, a wide range of options, such as variety conveyor, stacker and interleaver, can be retro fitted at any time. Even the blade configuration can be easily changed to cope with future production demands – without the need for major investment.
Stand Alone or Integrated System
The AEW Delford Polyslicer 1000 can operate as a stand alone machine or be integrated with a range of manual, fixed or random weight production lines. A typical Marel system would include Polyslicer 1000, G2300 Checkweigher (with feedback for enhanced pack weight accuracy and control), VBS Vertical Buffer System, intelligent portion loading robot, thermoformer and end of line packing and labelling equipment.
