Ashbury Labelling boosts team with appointment of Regulatory Affairs Manager
Ashbury Labelling, provider of specification and labelling services to the food and drink industry, has appointed Lorraine Eve as Regulatory Affairs Manager.
Drawing on more than 15 years’ experience in food legislation, Lorraine will advise clients on all aspects of food law, from interpreting new regulations correctly to devising compliant product specifications and labelling artwork.
Lorraine previously worked for Tesco, where she held multiple positions, including Labelling Law Manager, as well as Leatherhead Food Research, where she was Senior Regulatory Advisor.
Having worked with retailers, suppliers and in an advisory role, Lorraine has a keen understanding of all aspects of labelling legislation, which enables her to advise companies seeking to implement legal guidelines in line with their corporate and brand strategies.
Since joining Ashbury, Lorraine has already spoken at a major European conference on the new EU food labelling legislation, delivering a presentation on the impact of EU Regulation No. 1169/2011 on Food Information to Consumers at the Food Safety, Health Claims and Regulation in Europe conference, which took place in Brussels on 30 November.
During this session, Lorraine outlined why the new regulation is the most significant labelling development in years and the ways manufacturers can overcome the time and cost constraints they will face as a result of it.
“Lorraine has extensive experience and insight into the difficulties companies face in meeting very high retailer standards and the commercial pressures around ensuring labelling is compliant with regulation first time,” said James Post, Managing Director of Ashbury Labelling.
“She is an excellent addition to the team and strengthens our ability to offer clients advice on compliance while remaining flexible enough to find commercial solutions for their labelling issues.
