Raisio’s Chief Executive Resigns
Matti Rihko has resigned from his position as chief executive of Finnish food group Raisio with immediate effect. Matti Rihko has been Raisio’s chief executive since November 2006. The board of directors has started the search for a new chief executive.
An international expert in plant-based nutrition, Raisio’s operations are divided into two divisions: Brands and Raisioagro. Raisio’s Brands Division includes Healthy Snacks, Benecol, Benemilk and Confectionery. Raisioagro is a modern agri-trader and a familiar, reliable partner of livestock producers and contract farmers.
The board has appointed Jarmo Puputti as Raisio interim chief executive. In addition to his role as interim chief executive, Jarmo Puputti will continue his duties as Raisioagro’s managing director.
Matti Perkonoja, chairman of Raisio, says: “The board of directors wants to thank Matti Rihko for his ten years’ term and his excellent work for Raisio’s renovation and internationalisation. Since 2006 Raisio shareholders have nearly tripled the value of their investment due to the share price increase and the nine years of increased dividends. We wish Matti Rihko the best of success in his future endeavours.”
