Frozen food packaging specialist, Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Harlingen, has invested in a laser perforation unit to meet with the growing demand for 100 percent food safe packaging.

Laser perforated holes are clean of residue and therefore eliminate the possibility of contamination of the food product inside the packaging. In addition, they work at a much higher speed than mechanical pinfeed perforation systems and produce a very controlled, uniform pattern of holes in the film, tailored to the specific application.

Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Harlingen has invested in a Starpack CW laser unit. This Laser Scribing System from Rofin is developed for easy opening and ventilation of several types of packaging films. The cross web application allows optimum choice in free form scribing and perforation. Features include: perforation from 200 microns; cutting release flaps; easy opening scribing / scoring; optimized for various materials including PE, BOPP, PET, BOPA and laminates.
