The Dec Group is a leading supplier of powder handling systems to the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and cosmetic industries. Dec’s product range covers every facet of powder handling, specialising in unique and patented dense-phase vacuum transfer systems.

Dec is the only company to have a letter of exemption from the ATEX regulatory body stating the PTS (Powder Transfer System) has “no potential source of ignition”, proving Dec technology really is the safest way to process powder products.

Dec Group technologies also offer solutions for contamination free emptying and loading of drums, production equipment and vessels of all kinds, from the introduction of raw materials and intermediate products to the handling of the final product.

At the PPMA exhibition Dec is inviting visitors to Stand F63 to see demonstrations of:

The Powder Transfer System (PTS)

Dec will have a glass PTS working on the stand so visitors can actually see dense phase conveying in action.

The PTS Feeder

This mobile device can be used to discharge various types of equipment and fill an array of different types of packaging especially when there is limited headroom/space below the equipment.

The PTS-Feeder incorporates a dosing device and so guarantees precise filling of +-50g or better at a high transfer rate. If potent powders are to be filled then the PTS Feeder can be used in combination with the DCS (Drum Containment System) to provide optimal protection of the operator and product with high levels of containment (<1μg/m3).

Using the PTS Feeder can often result in the elimination of further process operations such as Intermediate steps, feed hoppers or silos etc. All these can be made redundant because the PTS Feeder discharges and fills in one step. It also offers greater flexibility and can be positioned up to 30m away from the powder equipment because it conveys in a very similar manner to the PTS.

The Dec Isocharge (Multiple Bag Discharge System)

The Dec Isocharge will demonstrate the conveying of powder to a Dec Continuous Liner Filling Station. With an OEL of <1 microg/m3, visitors can see how simple and efficient the process is.
