Boparan Controls 70% of Northern Foods

Boparan Holdings, which incorporates the 2 Sisters poultry group, now controls 70% of Northern Foods, one of the UK’s leading convenience food processors, following its £342m cash offer. Boparan has acquired, agreed to acquire or received valid acceptances in respect of approximately 70.01% of the existing issued ordinary share capital of Northern Foods. The offer will remain open until 23rd March 2011. Boparan is expected to reach the 75% mark shortly which will make the offer unconditional.
