Chesapeake Limerick is currently commissioning a package of technotrans press ancillaries following the recent installation of a Komori GLX 740RP printing press.

The specialist pharmaceutical packaging plant’s print process is alcohol free which means it must be stringent in reducing variables from the press, according to the firm.  This will be achieved using a beta.c circulator fitted to the B1 press which helps control its temperature and, by implication, the ink tack.

A beta.f filtration system will eliminate debris from the dampening solution so that it retains its quality and reduces the amount of chemistry required providing clear environmental benefits.

Operations director Morgan Fogerty said: “We’ve been using technotrans for 20 years; it’s our brand of choice. We know they are reliable and have the service and back up although in fact they have only had to send in engineers for commissioning equipment. They have an excellent help desk and that means that any issues can be sorted out quickly by phone.”

Peter Benton, managing director of technotrans, added: “Ireland is an important market for us and packaging a significant sector so to have this order from Chesapeake Limerick is very pleasing.”
