 ADM will showcase its line of CLARISOY isolated soya proteins at Vitafoods 2013, as it highlights its functional ingredient portfolio and wide-ranging capabilities in the health and nutrition arena.

Offering high quality protein nutrition, the latest addition to ADM’s product range is CLARISOY 150 isolated soya protein. CLARISOY 150 provides a uniquely clean flavour at neutral (pH 7.0) or higher pH’s, allowing for greater use of soy protein in mildly flavoured neutral beverages like meal replacement and weight management products. It is also suitable for beverage systems with a pH of less than 4.0 where a cloudy appearance is required.

The most recent product to be launched in the CLARISOY range, CLARISOY 150 follows CLARISOY 100, which enables protein fortification in transparent and refreshing low pH beverage systems such as sport and recovery drinks.  For beverage systems with a pH of less than 4.0, CLARISOY 100 is highly soluble and transparent, so beverage manufacturers can comfortably formulate up to ten grams of protein per 500ml serving while maintaining beverage clarity.

ADM will also showcase its CardioAid range of phytosterols and phytosterol esters, which have approval as novel food ingredients and can be used in a variety of food and beverage applications targeted at reducing blood cholesterol levels. The CardioAid range helps manufacturers of functional foods capitalise on the approved EU health claim stating: plant sterols have been shown to lower/reduce blood cholesterol.

Also for the promotion of good health, ADM will offer Novasoy soya isoflavones often consumed by women at the time of the menopause  or affected by hot flushes. Soya isoflavones are suitable for use in dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages. Other highlights will be Novatol, a natural source of Vitamin E, which is needed by the body to protect cells and support natural defences and the Decanox® range of natural antioxidants for food, feed and cosmetic use.
