Sato presents its latest printing solutions at Emballage 2012
Sato, supplier of integrated Automatic Identification and Data Collection solutions based on barcode and RFID technologies, is participating in the 40th Emballage (Packaging) show that is being held in Paris from 19 to 22 November. Sato will be exhibiting its latest printing and labelling developments in Hall 4, stand 97.
With almost 90,000 visitors, Emballage is one of the biggest European shows for the packaging sector bringing together all those involved in the industry and highlighting the latest innovations in the packaging field.
Sato will be present with its partner Ségépar, a specialist in marking and codification solutions. Among the products on show by Sato is its powerful and flexible GL4e printer, which is ideal for applications in the agro-food and industrial sectors. The GL4e series features an ultra-high frequency RFID option that is ready to use and upgradeable, distant control thanks to auto-diagnostics via SATOnet Connect, and a triple port for USB, LAN, and Wi-Fi communication interfaces and for an I/O extension board.
To meet the demands of the transport and logistics industry, Sato has also developed its new CL6e series of printers, which use the latest thermal label printing technologies. They feature high-speed data transmission, an exceptionally fast processing rate and a large built-in memory to take label printing requirements in their stride. The printers in the CL e series set new standards with regards to production label flow rates. A latest-generation RISC processor provides high-performance label production rates, even when printing from Windows. These printers are ideally suited to a wide range of applications in the transport and logistics industry, such as conformity labelling, dispatching and receipt, and logistical follow-ups.
Sato mobile printing solutions will also be presented, including the MB4i series printers. Their compact size, sturdy design and light weight make them ideal for the requirements of mobile printing on demand. The MB400i/MB410i operates with various communications protocols including USB, RS232, IrDA, 802.11b/g and Bluetooth wireless links. These printers are especially well suited to applications involving receipt printing, price marking or product identification.
To complete the Sato offer, the OEM S84 series printing modules will also be demonstrated. They are specially designed for use in automated applications with high volumes of label printing and placing that require exceptional reliability and constant operation. This new range of 104 mm printing modules is the only one available on the market that features printing speeds of up to 16 p/s and a resolution of up to 609 dpi. The S84 series leads the way in cutting-edge printing and placing modules, meeting the needs of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in particular, thanks to its ability to represent data matrices and QR codes in very high definition.
