Italian food group Cremonini is acquiring Bagel Factory for an undisclosed sum. With over 50 shops and franchise units, Bagel Factory is the largest bagel operator in the UK and Ireland.

Cremonini had a turnover of Eur3.2 billion in 2011 with 41% generated by the production of beef, cured meats and spices, 38% from its distribution activities and the remaining 21% from food service.
