Döhler to acquire dry ingredients specialist MOLDA
Döhler, the producer, marketer and provider of technology-based natural ingredients, ingredient systems and integrated solutions for the food and beverage industry, is acquiring 90% of Dahlenburg, Germany-headquartered dry ingredients specialist MOLDA.
MOLDA’s product portfolio ranges from freeze-dried fruits, fruit granulates, fruit pieces and fruit powders, premium freeze-dried coffee and tea specialities to individual bakery and pastry mixes, a wide variety of milk and fat-based ingredients, as well as emulsifiers and speciality products such as red wine and honey powder. All products are produced from natural raw materials. The company develops customised ingredient solutions for its customers in the food and beverage industry.
Doehler said its aim is to tap the experience of more than 400 employees of MOLDA. The first steps in the expansion of the site are already in the pipeline; previously planned investments are to be consistently driven forward and expanded. By doing so, Doehler says it is reinforcing its position as a competent partner for integrated solutions in the food and beverage industry.
The companies say they are are now taking all the steps necessary to ensure successful cooperation in the future. The current management of MOLDA will play an important part in this integration process. MOLDA’s executive board, consisting of Michael Ulrich and Michael Müller, will continue to manage the company after its integration into the Döhler Group.
